Happy?

Happiness in hard thing to define, I guess I would start by saying it’s a way of looking at life and a choice you make. Having things and being the best at something doesn’t always make people happy like they want. Yet, at the same time a poor person can be one of the happiest people you meet. So what makes them so different? It’s the choice they make to be content with what they have, that silver lining mentality. Making a difference and helping people smile always makes me happy. By helping others and making them happy I in turn become happy. I am the happiest when I can make my family and people I love happy. To see true happiest cross there faces where there are little smile wrinkles around their eye and there is a sparkle in there eyes. That is my favorite moment ever! Being “happy” is not the most important thing in life but it is still important enough that it can make or break peoples will to go on.

  1. Happiness is hard to define because it means different things to different people. Although some people might not be completely happy being the best at something like they thought they would be, there are other people who having that feeling of satisfaction does make them happy.

  2. I agree with you that happiness is partly a choice. It may be hard, but it definitely up to the person to move on and accept everything that life has to offer, or to just dwell on the negative. I like that observation.

  3. I like how you noted that happiness is a choice one makes. I hadn't thought about it that way but you're right. There are certain individuals who have a pessimistic mentality and as a result, dig their own graves. Someone who is content with what he or she has, however, is much happier. Good observation.

  4. As for people getting what they want, perhaps it will only make them happy if the thing they want is also good for them?
